Best of the East full day
The eastern Algarve, is a string of sandbar islands and lagoons form part of a beautiful and protected natural park Ria Formosa.
Our tour starts with the visit of Faro, the capital of the province of Algarve and a tour of 13th century city center. Then we continue to the Moorish town of Olhão, which was a key city regarding trade, fishing and fish markets. We will then visit its waterfront markets and old quarter.
Next stop is Tavira, a charming town with with its 4th century Roman bridge, typical cobbled streets, its many churches (entrance fee not included). You'll get the chance to visit the Old Town, The Castle, which has a high observation point ideally suited to taking in the best views of the city and taking fantastic pictures, and ruins and the Santa Maria do Castelo church.
Free time for lunch (not included). The tour’s last stop is a visit to the fabulous village of Cacela Velha where the Ria Formosa meets the Atlantic Ocean...
