 Estoi Palace – Elegance in the Heart of the Algarve
The Palácio de Estoi, located just a few kilometers from Faro, is one of the most exquisite examples of 19th-century Romantic architecture in the Algarve. Originally a private residence, it was built by a wealthy landowner and later restored and transformed into a luxury pousada (heritage hotel).

Surrounded by beautifully designed French-style gardens, the palace features intricate azulejos (Portuguese tiles), elegant staircases, fountains, and statues. Its architecture blends neoclassical and rococo influences, offering visitors a rare glimpse into aristocratic life in southern Portugal.

Today, the palace welcomes both hotel guests and day visitors who come to admire its architecture, stroll through the gardens, or combine their visit with a trip to the nearby Roman ruins of Milreu.
